The Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector includes a pulsed LED located in the detector housing. The outer detector is molded the same as the ionization detector and has an indicator LED that is clear at rest but produces a red light in alarm.
The 65 Series Optical Smoke Detector uses the principle of scattered light to detect smoke entering the smoke chamber of the detector.
1. Responds well to slow-burning, smoke-producing fires
2. Suitable for bedrooms and escape routes
3. Not affected by wind or atmospheric pressure
4. Alarm indicator light and magnet operation test switch option
